As note, today (Sunday, July 15) our tour plans were
cancelled because of the typhoon. We were to do sightseeing to Mt Fuji
and stay overnight, but the roads were washed out. After being without a
room until mid-afternoon, the tour managed to get everyone back into the same
hotel. We went browsing in several department stores that you can get to
underground (it was raining hard and the wind has picked up a lot), but after
lunch we spent the day in the hotel. At the last minute, the typhoon swerved and
missed the Tokyo area, but that was well into the day.
